Handy tips to know:

1.
Genie Mackers can design your invitations free of charge. Get your child involved in the handing out of the invitations. It is a wonderful responsibility for him/her to give out his/her own invitations. This makes them feel really involved. If you don't want that big a crowd, or if there are one or two children in class that your birthday child simply cannot abide, mail the party invitations or deliver them in person outside of the school setting.

2. We have a 10 day cancellation policy charge of 30euro so we ask that you give as much notice as possible should you need to cancel.

3. Re-confirm the booking with the entertainer a day or two before the party to go through any questions, special requests you may have and to clarify directions to your home.

2. Make sure there is a place as close as possible to the house for the entertainer to park their car as they will have equipment to bring in.

3. Introduce the entertainer to the birthday child on arrival so that the entertainer can ensure the child gets special attention during the performance.

4. Have the entertainer's fee ready in an envelope before the party starts.

5. The entertainer should arrive at the same time as the children so that she can start with the Face painting. This is the part when not of all the children are engaged at the same time, so it is best to have this done at the start as the children are arriving to the house.

6. The Entertainer can work in whatever space is available. However, the clearer the room the better. All she needs is a table for face painting (some parents prefer to have the face painting in a separate room to the entertainment.) Try not to have distracting toys in the room where the magic show is being held, and remove any breakables. It is also possible to entertain outside if it is a nice day as long as a plug socket is available.

7. If you choose to give the party food while the entertainer is still there... the best time for this is at the end when the entertainer is creating and handing out the balloon animals. Giving food during the entertainment can often distract the children. The standard entertainment lasts 1.5hours, however if you have more then 18/20 children we usually recommend 2hours. Alternatively you may book a 2nd entertainer, this speeds up the face painting process so that the show can start sooner.

8. Our parties consist of Magic, Puppets, Balloon animals, Face painting and Party games. Children under the age of 3 will not understand the magic part, this is mainly for the children over the age of 3 that will be there on the day. Should you prefer certain activities over others we can concentrate on your preferred elements of entertainment.

9.
Behavioural management and child management is solely the responsibility of the parent. Genie Mackers can not be held responsible for any disruptive behaviour.

10.
Parents are asked to supervise children under the age of 3 so as to avoid disruptions to the party and ensure maximum enjoyment for all involved.

11. Sit back relax and enjoy the show :-).
